Findley Announces Eight Newcomers for 2013 Season

NC State men's soccer head coach Kelly Findley announced a talented class of eight newcomers for the 2013 season, Wednesday.
"We're very pleased with this group of players," said Findley. "They've all had success in their careers so far, and they're driven, highly motivated players. I fully expect them to help us reach our goals."

Michael Bajza (MF) Former member of the Region 3 ODP team, traveling to Costa Rica and Kosice, Slovakia... Three years of academy experience... Ranked among the top 100 recruits nationally. |

Holden Fender (MF) Played in 14 games as a freshman during UCLA's run to the conference title... 2012 Gatorade Player of the Year in Georgia... Competed for the U.S. U-20 National Team which played in the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland, and the U.S. U-19 Indoor National team which played in the Mercedes Benz Cup in Germany... Played four years under head coach Bucky Boozer at George Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., a high school teammate of goalkeeper Alex McCauley ... Captained the squad to the 2011 state championship, while earning a first team All-America nod from the NSCAA... U-17 National team member. |

Yanni Hachem (MF) Won a pair of NCHSAA 3A state championships during his sophomore and junior years at Cardinal Gibbons High School... Named all-region as a sophomore, all-state as a junior... Team captain for CASL... Attended ODP Regional Camp and Super Y National Team Camp... Three-time NCYSA State champion... Sister Casey Hachem plays soccer at Appalachian State. |

A 2011 NSCAA All-South team selection, 2010 and 2011 all-conference, all-region, and all-state selection... Named 2010 and 2011 Mega7 Conference Player of the Year... 2011 South Charlotte Observer Player of the Year... Named 2012 Greater Charlotte Soccer Player of the Year... Won back-to-back state and USYS Southern Regional championships with Charlotte Soccer Academy, qualifying for the national championship in both years. |
