NC State men's soccer travels to Chapel Hill on Friday night for its regular season finale against the 10th-ranked Tar Heels at 7 p.m.
The Pack (7-5-4, 2-5-3 ACC) holds the nation's 47th best RPI, and a win over North Carolina may be enough to put NC State in the at-large discussion for the NCAA Tournament.
North Carolina enters the match ranked 10th in the country according to College Soccer News, and 19th by Top Drawer Soccer and the NSCAA.
The Heels are on a three-game winning streak, and have won their last four conference matches against BC, Syracuse, Pitt, and Virginia.
A pair of Wolfpackers figure prominently on the ACC statistical leaderboard entering the final weekend of the regular season. Nick Surkamp ranks third in the conference with eight goals, and tied for fifth with three game-winners, one back of a four-way tie for the ACC lead. Surkamp sits fifth on the points list with 18.
Alex Martinez ranks second in the ACC with eight assists, three shy of BC's Zeiko Lewis.
Kickoff for Friday's match is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Chapel Hill. Live stats will be available on GoPack.com. Fans can also follow along with Twitter updates via @PackMensSoccer.
