The NC State women's golf team has again climbed in the national rankings. The Pack is now ranked 12th in the Golf World/WGCA Coaches Poll. It's the highest ranking in school history for head coach Page Marsh's program.
After being ranked 20th in the preseason, NC State moved up to 14th in the poll after strong showings at the Cougar Classic in South Carolina and at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Invitational. Most recently, the Wolfpack climbed again after competing at North Carolina's Tar Heel Invitational.
USC is the top-ranked team, followed by UCLA, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. The ACC is well-represented in the national coaches poll, with Duke (5th), NC State (12th), Clemson (13th), North Carolina (15th) and Virginia (25th) all nationally-ranked.
NC State has one event remaining on its fall schedule. NC State will be at the Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNC Wilmington at Country Club of Landfall Oct. 25-27.
