Unprecedented Broadcast Coverage for the Wolfpack in 2012

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The NC State women's soccer team will battle Virginia in a nationally televised game on FOX Soccer this fall to highlight the broadcast schedule announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Friday.
The match with the Cavaliers on Thursday, Sept. 13 will be televised nationally as part of the NSCAA Game of the Week series from Charlottesville, Va., at 7 p.m.
"The exposure our program will receive this fall is unprecedented and we look forward to being featured on multiple national broadcasts," said head coach Steve Springthorpe.
"This continues to show the growth of not only our program, and the ACC, but more importantly the sport of women's soccer."
NC State will also be represented on the league's regional sports network (RSN) when Maryland comes to town on Sunday, Oct. 7 for a 1 p.m., tilt at Dail Soccer Field.
Including the Maryland game, all five home ACC contests this year will be on ESPN3 and will also be available on the WatchESPN mobile app.
The other four matches on ESPN3 are against Miami (Sept. 27), Florida State (Sept. 30), Duke (Oct. 11) and North Carolina (Oct. 25).
Additionally, three non-conference games - Elon (Sept. 2), Appalachian State (Sept. 7) and Boston University (Sept. 20) - will be broadcast on GoPack.com through GoPack All-Access.
ESPN3 will carry the ACC Tournament semifinals contests, while ESPNU will showcase the ACC Championship games on November 4 at 1 p.m., from WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
The Wolfpack will host William & Mary in an exhibition game on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 5 p.m. The season gets underway on the road at Old Dominion on Friday, Aug. 17 in Norfolk, Va., at 7 p.m. The first regular-season home match is on Sunday, Aug. 19 against Cincinnati at 1 p.m.
