NC State's Shelli Spamer earned recognition as one of nine players from across the nation named to the CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll, released Tuesday by the web site.
Spamer represented a crucial component of a Wolfpack squad that picked up two quality road wins over the weekend, knocking off Texas 1-0 on Friday and following that performance with a 2-1 win over 40th-ranked LSU Sunday. The victories marked NC State's first consecutive non-conference road wins since the 200 season.
The sophomore defender contributed two assists at LSU, including one on a free kick service that led directly to Cheyenne Spade's volley goal in the 52nd minute. A shot by Spamer in the 38th minute ricocheted off the crossbar, leading to Shannon Colligan's tying goal on a rebound.
