RALEIGH, N.C. - Former NC State volleyball player Andi Bentley, who played for the Wolfpack from 2004-08, has rejoined the program as a volunteer assistant, third-year head coach Bryan Bunn has announced.
Bentley, a native of Cary, N.C., played at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh and currently serves as the program director for volleyball for the Town of Cary Parks and Recreation Department. While at Cardinal Gibbons, she helped her team win three independent high school state championships.
"This is a great opportunity for me to learn under Coach Bunn in a great volleyball environment," Bentley said. "I'm looking forward to being a part of the change in culture he has brought to the program and to help the team succeed."
Bentley lettered for four seasons as a defensive specialist at NC State. She tallied 1,132 career digs.
A 2008 NC State graduate with a degree in biology, Bentley was twice named to the All-ACC Academic volleyball team and earned a spot on the ACC Honor Roll.
She served as an assistant coach for three seasons at North Carolina Central in Durham and has been a head coach at the Triangle Volleyball Club.
