Softball Has 3 On 2012 ACC All-Academic Squad

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Three NC State softball players were named to the 2012 All-ACC Academic Softball Team.
Pitchers Morgan Peeler and Emily Weiman and catcher Kirsty Grant are the Wolfpack representatives on the 33-player squad. All three are first-time members of the team, which recognizes student-athletes who have earned a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during their academic careers.
Weiman led the team with a 14-18 record and a 2.65 earned run average, while Peeler was 8-12 with a 2.94 ERA. Grant started 35 of the 45 games she played as catcher, with a team-high three triples and 12 RBIs.
