NC State softball will head to Charlotte, N.C. today to take on the Charlotte 49ers in a non-conference doubleheader at 5 and 7 p.m.
The Pack is coming off of a rain-shortened series with ACC foe Virginia Tech last weekend where State dropped both contests. Charlotte, too, fell short this weekend against St. Joeseph's. The 49ers have dropped four-straight contests.
Junior Katie Mansilla leads the Pack offensively with a .313 batting average so far this season. Bethaney Wells boasts the best power numbers for State with six home runs and a .539 slugging percentage.
Charlotte is led by Jackie Kleinsmith at the plate, and freshman pitcher Lexi Betancourt has shouldered the majority of the pitching in the circle.
Following today's games at Charlotte, the Pack returns to action Saturday, March 31 at Curtis and Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium versus Georgia Tech at 5 and 7 p.m.
