Barr Named EAGL Specialist of the Week

RALEIGH, N. C.-- NC State senior Brooke Barr has been named the EAGL Specialist of the Week for her performance against New Hampshire, according to an announcement by the league office on Tuesday.
Barr tied her career-high with a 9.9 on vault to claim first in the event on Friday against New Hampshire. The score was a new season-high topping her previous high score of 9.850.
The Wolfpack gymnast also finished first on floor with a 9.875. This marks the second time this season that Barr has finished first in two different events at the same meet. Barr also competed for the Pack on beam posting a score of 9.725.
This award marks the 11th time that Barr has received an EAGL Weekly Honor, having earned EAGL Gymnast of the Week previously this season, Specialist of the Week five times in her career, and Rookie of the Week five times in 2009.
NC State will play host to Kent State, Towson, and William & Mary on Friday, February 24 at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
