NC State tangles with the visiting Belmont Bruins on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Dail Soccer Field, as the Wolfpack looks to right the ship after a loss over the weekend.
State (7-5) dropped a 1-0 decision last Friday to Duke after out-shooting the Blue Devils 15-12. The lone goal of the contest, a header in the 25th minute, held up for the remainder of the contest.
Belmont (4-7-1) suffered a loss at Cleveland State last Wednesday, snapping a run during which the Bruins won three of five matches. Brandon Tarr leads the Bruin offensive attack with six goals on the year. Nico Olsak has distributed four assists on the season.
The Pack enters the match ranked second in the ACC with 24 goals on the year (2.0 per game). Forward Alex Martinez receives credit for some of that lofty standing. The junior leads the conference in points (21), goals (8), and ranks tied for second in assists (5).
Tuesday's game marks the first meeting between the two programs. Live stats will be available at GoPack.com. Fans can also follow Twitter updates from @PackMensSoccer.
