NC State heads over to Winston-Salem on Thursday to take on Wake Forest in an ACC matchup scheduled for 7 p.m., at Spry Stadium.
This long-standing rivalry has gone in favor of the Deacs in recent years, but the last three games in Winston-Salem have all been one-goal affairs, including a 2-1 overtime match the last time these two clubs squared off at Spry Stadium in 2010.
Last season's contest in Raleigh was also a 2-1 outcome when Wake scored the winner in the 70th minute.
Last time out, freshmen Brittany Stanko and Rachel Harris each scored for the Wolfpack in a 6-2 loss at No. 23 Boston College.
Stanko leads the Wolfpack with five goals and is tied with Jennie Krauser with 10 points on the season.
Meanwhile, the Demon Deacons earned a 1-1 draw at Duke on Sunday. Katie Stengel scored on a penalty kick just before halftime to earn the point in Durham.
The Pack stays on the road at Clemson on Sunday at 1 p.m., before playing its season finale next Thursday against North Carolina at Dail Soccer Field at 7 p.m., on ESPN3.
