RALEIGH, N.C. - The Wolfpack travels to Miami this weekend for the first contest of back-to-back road games. NC State and Miami will square off at noon on Sunday at Bank United Center in Coral Gables. The Pack is seeking its third straight win over the Canes after last year's 72-70 win at the RBC Center and a 71-66 victory at Bank United Center on Feb. 2, 2010.
This only the 12th meeting between the Wolfpack and the Hurricanes in a series that dates back to 1939-40 season. NC State is 7-4 all-time against Miami and 6-4 since UM joined the ACC.
The game can be heard on the NC State Radio Network with Gary Hahn and Tony Haynes providing the description of the action. It can also be seen on the ACC Network with Rich Waltz handling the play-by-play duties and former Wake Forest head coach Dave Odom providing the color commentary.
TRANSITION POINTS
• NC State improves to 3-1 in ACC play for the first time since 2005-06.

• For the eighth time this season, Richard Howell recorded double-digit rebounds (16 vs. BC). State is 8-0 when Howell reaches double-digit boards.
• Scott Wood is 41-of-41 from the line this year and has hit a school record 51 straight dating back to last year. He is three shy of tying Duke J.J. Redick for the ACC all-time mark for consecutive free throws.
• Wood leads the ACC in 3-point field goal percentage (.441) and 3-pointers made (49, 2.7 per game). His streak of 16 consecutive games with a made three-pointer is the longest in the conference.
• Wood has now made 184 three-pointers during his NC State career, putting him in sixth place in Wolfpack record books.
• NC State has the top free-throw percentage (.755) and its offensive output (76.9 ppg) trails only UNC and Duke among ACC teams.
• The Pack is only ACC program with five players listed among league's scoring leaders. Each player is averaging 12 points or better per game.
• State is averaging 78 points in its wins this season, while holding its opponents to 62.5 points per game.
• The Pack's strength of schedule is 45th according to Collegerpi. com (as of 1/20/12) and its NCAA RPI is 58th.
• The ACC has the fourth best RPI according to Collegerpi.com.
