RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State gymnastics hosts BYU this Saturday, January 14 at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wolfpack gymnasts will be celebrating 80's night on Saturday, with the first 700 fans receiving a free gift. Fans born in the 1980s will be admitted free of charge.
NC State looks to build momentum after a season-opening 194.675 against nationally third-ranked Florida last Friday. As the preseason favorite in the EAGL, NC State has high hopes in 2012, pinned on a strong returning senior class, and a group of quickly maturing youngsters.
Against Florida, seniors Brooke Barr and Jess Panza performed well, as expected, leading the Pack on beam and floor. Sophomores Stephanie Ouellette, a 2011 NCAA Individual qualifier, and Diahanna Ham also contributed strong routines, with Ham posting a career-best 9.875 vault to open the meet.
Freshman Lane Jarred made an instant impact as well, with a 9.825 floor exercise on the first routine of her collegiate career.
Live stats and video are available for the event on GoPack.com. Highlights and a full recap will be posted at the conclusion of Saturday's event.
