Women's Golf Summer Update

Sophomore Brittany Marchand is currently competing at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship in Barrington, R.I. The first two days (Monday and Tuesday) of the tournament act as a 36-hole qualifier, with the top 64-players advancing to the match play round.

A pair of incoming freshmen continue to impress up in Canada, as Augusta James and Vivian Tsui both competed in the Royale Cup Canadian Junior Girls Championship last week in Richmond, B.C.
James finished fifth, carding a 3-under 289. James had a strong final round to push her up the leaderboard, as she shot a 3-under 70 thanks to five birdies. Tsui was close behind in seventh, with a 1-under 291. Tusi shot a 1-under 72 in the first round, then went even-par 73 in the final three rounds.

Sophomore Ana Menendez and incoming freshman Lindsay McGetrick both traveled to Sheridan, Wyo., and took part in the 81st Women’s Trans National Championship. Both advanced to the match play portion, with Menendez advancing to the Round of 16 and McGetrick to the Round of 64.

Sophomores Maureen Dunnagan and Tatum Briele recently teamed up and competed in the 34th Carolinas Women's Four-Ball Championship in Wilmington, N.C. The Pack’s duo finished in fourth place at even-par 144.
