"The five seniors who are leaving the program have helped our team improve the standard of training and play for our team going forward," said Springthorpe. "As a coach we rely on our seniors to set the tone and lead the team on the field and in the classroom. We appreciate the dedication that they have shown to the program and NC State University."
Team awards were also given out during the dinner, and junior goalkeeper Kim Kern brought home two awards - the Robin Morlock Most Valuable Player Award and the Best Defensive Player Award.
The team-voted MVP award was given to Kern, a Raleigh native, after her stellar work in goal in 2010. She started all 19 games for the Wolfpack, posting four shutouts and owning a 1.40 goals-against-average.
She also earned the defensive award for leading the Pack defense all season long, including allowing only 26 goals, the fewest for an NC State team since 2006.

The Coaches' Award went to junior Tanya Cain for her leadership on and off the field. She not only scored four goals and distributed four assists for 12 total points, she was recognized on both regional and national teams for her dedication in the classroom
Her leadership and presence on the field was extremely vital to the Pack and that, along with her classroom work, is why the coaching staff recognized the third-year forward from Pinebluff, N.C.
The Iron Wolf Award went to freshman Ariela Schreibeis for her work in the weight room. She showed a stellar work rate and a great deal of improvement in her first season.
