RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State volleyball's 2011 recruiting class has been named as a highest honorable mention Top 30 class by PrepVolleyball.com, head coach Bryan Bunn announced today.
Laura Blab, Rachel Buckley, Nikki Glass, Dariyan Hopper, Alston Kearns and Alesha Wilson are slated to join the Wolfpack in the fall of 2011.
In order to determine the best recruiting classes in the nation, PrepVolleyball.com assembled a panel of over 120 college coaches, representing every major conference in the country, as well as some coaches from non-BCS schools and NCAA Division II and III. The group considered size and overall strength of the class, as well as the expected impact of the student-athletes over the next four years.
NC State was one of four ACC schools honored by PrepVolleyball.com.
The Wolfpack open up the 2011 season at the Appalachian State tournament on Aug. 26 in Boone, N.C. The Pack will take on the host Mountaineers at 7 p.m., then battle Charlotte and Kennesaw State on Saturday, Aug. 27.
