RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State softball hits the diamond again Wednesday, April 6, taking on Charlotte in a non-conference matchup. Doubleheader action begins at 4 p.m. at Curtis and Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium on NC State's campus.
The Wolfpack looks to rebound from a tough couple of weeks, where the squad has dropped five-straight contests, having dropped its last three ACC series'. This includes last weekend at Boston College when the Pack fell in an evenly fought 14 inning battle to the Eagles.
Senior catcher Alyssa Allbritten leads the Pack at the plate this season with a .370 batting average and 24 RBI. Fellow senior Bridget Desbois' .354 mark is second on the squad, while Bethaney Wells' five homeruns paces the Wolfpack as well.
Freshman pitcher Kayla Cox boasts the Pack's top ERA (3.62) and win total (7) in the 2011 season.
Against Charlotte, NC State head coach Lisa Navas will be looking for her 600th career win--she currently sits at 598.
Gametracker coverage will be available for the game, as well as inning-by-inning updates on the PackSoftball Twitter account.
