RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State fans have the opportunity to play golf with some of the Wolfpack’s most successful professional golfers on Monday, May 9, through a GoPack.com silent auction.
There will be two winners selected from the on-line bids. The winner and a guest will have a choice of bidding on a foursome to play with Tim Clark and Garth Mulroy or to play with Carl Pettersson and Marc Turnesa.
The rounds will be played at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course on NC State’s Centennial Campus, as part of the State Cup, the annual fundraiser for the Wolfpack men’s and women’s golf programs. The shotgun start begins at 9 a.m.
More than 90 former Wolfpack golfers will return to NC State, beginning with a fundraising banquet on Sunday, May 8, at the Arena Club of the RBC Center. They will also participate in Monday’s golf tournament.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Carol Johnson Poole Clubhouse at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course, plans for which have been redesigned to accommodate both of NC State’s varsity golf programs, the professional golf management program and the turfgrass management program. Fundraising is currently underway for the clubhouse, with new naming opportunities available.
To participate in the on-line auction, make a bid through this link.
The minimum bid is $500. The auction runs through 5 p.m. May 3. Winners will be contacted on May 4.
