Men's Golf Heads to ACC Championship

The ACC Men's Golf Championship will be played for the tenth consecutive year at the Old North State Club, April 22-24, 2011, in New London, North Carolina. It is a Par 72 track, laid out over 7,102 yards.
Tee times are scheduled to begin each of the three days at 8 a.m. NC State will tee of between 9:40-10:20 a.m. on Friday, playing alongside Boston College and Wake Forest.
Admission is free to the 54-hole event, and directions are available at the championship link above. Additionally, live scoring will be available as well via golfstat.com and the ACC.
The ACC will provide video coverage of the event on both Saturday and Sunday from 1:30-4 p.m., and can be found by clicking the link above.
NC State enters the championship with three of the top-18 scoring averages in the league. Freshman Albin Choi is on top of the leader board with a 70.97 scoring average, followed by sophomore Mitchell Sutton, who is in 12th at 72.00 and senior Brandon Detweiler in 18th at 72.66.
The Wolfpack ranks second in the ACC with a team stroke average of 71.80, edged by the narrowest of margins by Georgia Tech at 71.64.
In what is always one of the top golf conferences in the nation, eight of the 11 programs have won a tournament this year, with the three that didn't win all having a runner-up finish on their resume.
NC State boasts six individual ACC titles, with the last coming in 2009 from Matt Hill. The club won the team title in 1990.
