After first round of action at the 2011 ACC Championship, sophomore Amanda Baker leads the way for NC State as she sits in 12th place. Baker shot a 3-over 74 on Friday afternoon at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
Baker holed two birdies on the day, and finished her round strong going even-par on the back-nine.
As a team, NC State sits in eight place, finishing at 27-over 311 in first round action.
Freshman Ana Menendez carded a score of 5-over 76 on the day, finishing at 1-over on the back-nine.
Freshman Brittany Marchand shot a 7-over 78 in first round action. Senior Brooke Baker and redshirt-freshman Caroline Ellington each finished with a 12-over 83.
North Carolina leads the field at 5-over (289), while Allie White of the Tar Heels holds a four shot lead at 5-under (66).
The Pack is scheduled to tee off in the third group tomorrow, starting at 10:10 a.m.
