
Men's Tennis Drops Tight One to WFU

RALEIGH, N.C. -
No. 59 NC State dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 35 Wake Forest at Pullen Park on Tuesday, March 29. Dominic Hodgson and Jaime Pulgar each picked up straight-set wins over ranked opponents.
Hodgson topped No. 63 Jonathan Wolff, 6-1, 6-4, while Pulgar downed No. 113 Tripper Carleton, 6-4, 6-4. Each of the remaining four singles matches lasted three sets, as each bout was tightly contested.
The Demon Deacons grabbed the opening tally by taking two of three doubles matches. Pulgar and Dave Thomson beat Carleton and Zach Leslie, 8-5.
The loss sends the Wolfpack to 8-9 (0-5 ACC), while Wake Forest climbs to 8-7 (2-3 ACC).
NC State will host Florida State and Miami over the weekend at Pullen Park.
