Raleigh Relays Time Schedule
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Raleigh Relays, the annual collegiate and invitational meet hosted by NC State, will begin Friday morning at 10:15 a.m. at the on-campus Paul Derr Track.
A total of 57 men’s teams and 61 women’s teams will be represented at the two-day event, totaling some 2,000 participants and some 3,000 event places.
Scoring both days will be available at www.flashresults.com.
“It’s one of the largest track meets in the Southeast,” said NC State head track and field coach Rollie Geiger. “It’s got a great tradition as a meet that is designed to give coaches from across the country the opportunity to run both the long and the short relays, as well as give them the chance to run individual athletes.
“So there is both an individual element and a team element to the event.”
It’s also the only opportunity for the men’s and women’s track teams to compete in a home event, on a site that has been home to the Wolfpack since 1939.
“It’s a great opportunity for us, as a school and as a community, to host an event of this magnitude,” Geiger said. “I think it is a great event for the city of Raleigh. It generates a lot of interest and income, with the number of teams we have coming to participate.
“We want everyone where to leave Raleigh with a good, positive feeling about NC State University and our community.”
Attached is the full schedule of events and traffic and parking regulations for both days.
