
Women's Golf Maintains Position at LSU Golf Classic

After two rounds at the LSU Golf Classic, the NC State women's golf team is just two strokes out of the top-10, as the Pack is currently in 11th place. NC State improved four strokes from yesterday's first round, as the Pack is now 40-over (310-306=616).
In the tournament this weekend, 15 of the 21 teams are ranked in the top-50, with four teams ranked in the top-10. After two rounds of action, the Pack sits ahead of five ranked squads, including No. 13 North Carolina by 11 strokes.
Senior Brooke Baker leads the Pack, as she is currently in 11th place at 5-over (149). In the second round on Saturday, Baker was 3-over (75). Sophomore Amanda Baker is also in the top-20, as she is in 16th place at 6-over (150).
Freshmen Ana Menendez and Brittany Marchand both improved eight strokes from yesterday's first round. Menenedez was 2-over (74) on Saturday, while Marchand was 7-over (79).
No. 1 Alabama, No. 7 Virginia and No. 26 Arkansas share the team lead at 25-over (601). Stephanie Meadow of Alabama holds a two-stroke lead in the individual standings at even-par (144).
