
Amanda Baker Third After First Round at LSU Classic

Baton Rouge, La. - Sophomore Amanda Baker currently sits one shot off the lead in third place after first round action at the LSU Classic. Baker finished her round at even-par (72), with a team high four birdies at the University Club in Baton Rouge, La., on Friday.
Baker is only one shot back, as Catherine O'Donnell of North Carolina and Natalie Sheary of Wake Forest each shot a 1-under (71) in first round action.
As a team, NC State currently sits in a tie for 11th place after a first round score of 22-over (310). No. 17 Wake Forest leads the field by four shots, after a 6-over (294) on Friday.
In the tournament this weekend, 15 of the 21 teams are ranked in the top-50, with four teams ranked in the top-10. After first round action, the Pack sits ahead of four ranked squads, including No. 11 Tulane.
Senior Brooke Baker also currently sits in the top-20. After first round action, Baker is in 13th place after firing a 2-over (74) on Friday, with a pair of birdies.
Freshmen Maureen Dunnagan and Ana Menendez both shot a round of 10-over (82), while classmate Brittany Marchand was at 15-over (87).
