
Second Round Action Complete at Lady Puerto Rico Classic

RIO GRANDE, P.R. - After two rounds of action at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, P.R., the NC State women's golf team sits in 15th place overall. The Wolfpack holds a team score of 50-over (311-315=626) heading into Tuesday's final round.
Sophomore Amanda Baker had the Pack's top improvement from Sunday's first round, as Baker shot a 5-over (77) on Tuesday after a first round score of 10-over (82). Baker is currently at 15-over (159) for the two rounds.
Freshman Brittany Marchand also had a strong improvement from the first round. Marchand improved four strokes with her 4-over (76) on Tuesday. Marchand is 12-over (156) overall.
Freshman Maureen Dunnagan continues to lead the Pack in the tournament, as she sits at 10-over (75-79=154) going into the final round.
All three of those golfers shot a 1-over on the back-nine.
Freshman Ana Menendez is at 17-over (78-83=161), while redshirt-freshman Caroline Ellington is at 19-over (78-85=163).
NC State currently sits only three strokes behind No. 16 Auburn, and two shots ahead of No. 45 Oklahoma State.
The nation's top ranked team, Alabama, continues to lead the field at 8-over (286-298=584). Alabama's Stephanie Meadow and Texas Tech's Gabriella Dominquez share the individual team lead at 1-under (143).
