RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's basketball team is back in action this Sunday when it hosts Alabama in the second game of a Wolfpack doubleheader starting at 5:30 p.m., at Reynolds Coliseum. The State men's team hosts North Carolina Central at 3 p.m.
Any fan that purchases a men's ticket will receive free admission to the women's game, and seating will be general admission for both games.
Sunday also marks the second game of the Sheraton Super Sunday Series, which is a series of Southeastern Conference opponenets that NC State is hosting during the month of December. It is comprised of games against South Carolina, Alabama, and Vanderbilt; all games will be played on consecutive Sunday afternoons.
The Wolfpack got the month of December off on the right foot with a 55-53 win over the Gamecocks last weekend. Senior All-ACC forward Bonae Holston made the game-winning bucket with six seconds left to propel State to a 5-2 overall record this season. Holston's 20 points and nine rebounds were the driving force behind the victory.
Alabama is coming off a 69-63 loss at North Texas on Wednesday night. Kyra Crosby, in her first appearance since Nov. 15, led the Crimson Tide with 13 points. Jasmine Robinson leads four double-figure scorers with 13.5 points per game.
