Men, Women Track Open Indoor Season On Sunday

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams open their seasons on Sunday at the Holiday Open, hosted by Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.

Select sprinters, jumpers and throwers will compete in the all-day event at the Freeman Center on Christopher Newport's campus. However, the Wolfpack distance runners, coming off their appearance in the NCAA Cross Country championships, will not compete.

A total of nine men will compete in the event, led by two-time All-ACC performer Kris Kornegay-Gober in the high jump and senior Kwame Boatwright in the triple jump.

Meanwhile, 15 Wolfpack women will compete in the event, highlighted by All-ACC thrower Lawanda Henry.
