Cain Earns Third-Straight Academic All-District Award

RALEIGH, N.C. - For the third-consecutive season, NC State senior Tanya Cain has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District women's soccer team.

Cain, from Pinebluff, N.C., was recognized on the All-District second team in her final campaign with the Wolfpack. She owns a 3.97 grade point average as an accounting major at NC State

She was a a first-team selection last season, and a second-team honoree as a sophomore.

Cain finished second in scoring for the Wolfpack this season with 14 points on six goals and two assists.

Under the guidance of head coach Steve Springthorpe the last three seasons; three different players have earned five Academic All-District awards.
