Men's Soccer Falls at Virginia

Charlottesville, Va. - The NC State men's soccer team concluded its regular season Thursday night, dropping a 4-1 contest at Virginia. The Wolfpack will be in ACC Tournament action next week, starting with a contest against Virginia Tech on Monday.
The Cavaliers opened up the contest with four unanswered goals in the first 26 minutes of the game.
The Pack got on the scoreboard in the 29th minute, as sophomore Jorge Risquez took and assist from Zane Tharakan and tallied his first goal of the season at the 28:39 mark.
Up next for the Wolfpack will be the annual ACC Tournament next week.
In a change this year in the tournament format, all quarterfinal matches will be played at the sites of the No. 1-4 seeds; the No. 8 and 9 seeds will play Monday afternoon at the site of the No. 1 seed, with the winner playing at the No. 1 seed Tuesday. The quarterfinal winners will advance to the semifinals on Nov. 11 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
NC State will be in action on Monday afternoon, facing Virginia Tech at 1:00 p.m. at North Carolina. Earlier this season, the Pack downed the Hokies in overtime, 2-1.
