RALEIGH, N.C. - 23rd-ranked NC State makes the short trip to Chapel Hill this weekend for the Tar Heel Invitational, running October 7 to 9 at the UNC Finley Golf Course.
The Wolfpack, ranked 23rd in the Golfworld Coaches' poll and 26th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, will test its skills against amongst an elite group comprised of five members of the Golfweek top-10 and 14 of the top-50.
Heading up the 18-team field are No. 2 Auburn, No. 5 Virginia, No. 6 North Carolina, No. 8 LSU, and No. 10 Alabama. The Pack gets a look at two additional ACC opponents as well, No. 11 Duke and Wake Forest.

Joining James are freshman Vivian Tsui, sophomore Ana Menendez, junior Amanda Baker, coming off of a runner-up finish at the Cardinal Cup, and sophomore Brittany Marchand.
The Pack boasts a 30-3-1 record through two events, good for the best start in program history.
