Buies Creek, N.C. - Campbell's Ben Iiames would score the lone goal of the game just 47 seconds into overtime, as the Camels held on for a 1-0 win over the NC State men's soccer team Tuesday night in Buies Creek, N.C.
After a scoreless 90 minutes of soccer, Iiames headed in a cross from Mitchell Ardenas for the decisive goal.
NC State (4-5-2) played the final 20 minutes of the contest a man-down, as sophomore Gbenga Makinde was issued a red card for a hard tackle in the 71st minute.
After being outshot 8-3 in the first half, the Pack came out more aggressive in the second half of play and had an 8-4 edge in shots in the second 45 minutes.
Ryan Amons made three saves for Campbell (5-5-1) to earn the shutout, while NC State's Fabian Otte finished with two in the Pack goal.
The Pack will return to ACC action this weekend, when NC State travels to Duke Friday night.
