Men's Soccer Hosts Home Finale Saturday

The NC State men’s soccer team will play its final home contest of the season this weekend, as the Wolfpack plays host to Wake Forest Saturday at 7 p.m. NC State will also be celebrating senior days, as six players will be recognized before the contest.

The Wolfpack sits at 6-7-2 under first-year head coach Kelly Findley, including a 2-3 mark in the ACC. NC State has won its last two contests played at home, including downing Virginia Tech in overtime last weekend, 2-1.
Wake Forest enters the contest at 6-6-2 on the season, and their 3-3 mark in ACC play has them in fourth in the conference standings. The Demon Deacons are coming off of a 2-0 loss to Elon this past Tuesday, but upset then-No. 25 Virginia at home last weekend, 4-3.
The players recognized before the game will be:
• Farouk Bseiso is one of the team’s two captions this season. He has played in 55 career games, including 27 starts mainly as a central midfielder during his career. Farouk is majoring in communication, and will be joined by his mother Dima Sabi.
• Vasilios Dimopoulos stepped in the Pack’s net for a pair of games this season, including earning a shutout in the Pack’s 4-0 win over Presbyterian. He is majoring in industrial engineering, and will be joined by his mother Kathy and his sister Maria.
• Chandler Knox has played in 46 career games, including making 23 starts as an outside midfielder during his career. He recorded a pair of goals last season, against Navy and Virginia Tech in the ACC Tournament. Chandler is majoring in business administration, and will be joined by his parents Steve and Paige.
• Zane Tharakan has started the last three games as an outside defender, and has recorded a pair of assists. Last season, he started 13 contests and finished with five assists, the second-best mark on the team. A member of the 2010 ACC All-Academic team, Zane is majoring in business administration, and will be joined by his parents Varghese and Glory and his brother Zelig.
• Watt Williams has played in 55 career games, and currently has four career goals and nine assists. A member of the 2010 ACC All-Academic team, Watt is majoring in business administration, and will be joined by his parents Randall and Elisabeth Williams.
• Justin Willis joined the Pack this season, and has started every game as an outside defender. Justin is majoring in sport management, and will be joined by his parents Randy and Diane and his sister Caitlyn.
