Columbia, S.C. - South Carolina's Snoopy Davidson scored a pair of goals just under two minutes apart, as the NC State men's soccer team fell at South Carolina on Tuesday night, 2-0.
South Carolina (7-5-1) found the back of the net off back-to-back shots late in the first half. Davidson converted goals in the 38th and 40th minutes to give the Gamecocks a 2-0 edge heading into the half.
NC State's (6-7-2) best attempts came off of a corner kick in the 43rd minute, as defenders Moritz Steidten and Simon Cox both had their attempts blocked.
Neither team recorded a goal in the second half. South Carolina finished the game with a 16-9 edge in shots, with the Pack's Fabian Otte making five saves in goal.
The game was the Pack's final non-conference game of the year, as the Pack will close out the regular season with three straight ACC affairs.
The Pack will return to home action this weekend, as NC State hosts Wake Forest Saturday night in the last home game of the season. Before the contest, NC State will recognize its senior class.
