SALISBURY, N.C. - NC State freshman Lindsay McGetrick won the Patsy Rendleman Invitational, hosted by Catawba College at the Country Club of Salisbury Tuesday.
The final round saw McGetrick overcome a two-shot deficit with an even-par 72 to take home medalist honors in her first collegiate event. The Highland Ridge, Colo., native posted a 145 (+1) to outlast Newberry's Julia Daneshfar by one shot after opening the event with a 1-over par 73.
McGetrick joined three other Wolfpack golfers in an 85-player field Monday and Tuesday for an opportunity to compete as individuals at the 36-hole event.
Sophomore Maureen Dunnagan nabbed a share of 14th to represent the Pack's second-best finisher of the week.
The Wolfpack returns to action Friday, October 28 for its final event of the fall season, the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C.
