RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State head coach Bryan Bunn announced today that the volleyball program will host four instructional camps in the summer in June and July of 2011. Each session will focus on techniques necessary for competition at the top level.
There will be two All Skills Commuter Camps, the first June 20-23, and the second July 11-14, 2011. These sessions will be geared towards beginners and middle school aged players, and campers will be grouped according to skill level. Highly knowledgeable instructors will train all skills, including passing, setting, hitting, digging, blocking and serving.
Overnight All Skills Camp, held July 15-17, is recommended for middle and JV level players. Like All Skills Commuter Camp, all participants will be divided according to skill level and instructed in the fundamentals of volleyball.
The final session of the summer will be Advanced Camp, held July 22-24 for varsity and elite club players with aspirations to play at the next level. During camp, the staff (6:1 staff to camper ratio) will instruct on advanced techniques useful for the highest level of competition. In addition, there will be daily team training sessions, culminating with a camp-wide tournament at the end of the week.
