Gymnastics Takes on Nation's Best Friday

RALEIGH, N.C. --- 13th-ranked NC State gymnastics travels to Gainesville, Fla. to battle the nation's #1 team, Florida, and 23rd-ranked Penn State Friday beginning at 7 p.m.

The Wolfpack (1-1) is coming off of a win over 18th-ranked West Virginia, and will be competing on the road for the first time this season in Gainesville.

Florida enters the meet holding a 196.708 team average through three meets, good for tops in the nation, and a 3-0 record with wins over Nebraska, Kentucky, and LSU. Penn State travels to Gainesville with a 1-3 record and a 194.158 average.

The Pack's last wins against Florida and Penn State both came during NC State's 20-5 campaign in 1995.
