RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State volleyball will take the court this weekend in Reynolds Coliseum to battle two ACC foes. The Wolfpack will host #13 Florida State Friday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. and Miami Sunday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m.
The Pack (11-4, 1-2 ACC) looks to rebound from last Sunday's 3-1 loss to Maryland, where there were a total of 23 blocks in the match, nine of which belonged to NC State.
Fifteen games into the season, junior Becah Fogle's 168 kills lead the Pack's offensive attack, while Margaret Salata (145) and Luciana Shafer (128) have also scored double-digit kills in the 2010 season. Megan Cyr, in addition to scoring a team-leading four double-double's, paces the squad in assists (544), which is good for second in the ACC.
Defensively, Salata's 61 total blocks, 14 of which are solo efforts, pace the squad by a large margin. Libero Kelly Wood has earned 160 digs, tops on the squad.
Florida State (11-2, 3-0 ACC) enters the weekend riding a 19-match winning streak in ACC play, dating back to the 2009 season. The squad defeated Virginia and Virginia Tech last weekend, in addition to beating Miami in four sets last week.
Miami (12-2, 2-1 ACC) comes to Raleigh having earned victories at Virginia and Virginia Tech last weekend after falling to Florida State.
Both of the weekend's matches will be available via Gametracker on GoPack.com.
