CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - NC State junior Julie Saleeby has been named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for the third-consecutive season.
The biological sciences major recorded a 77.9 scoring average in her third season with the Wolfpack - the third best mark on the team.
The Raleigh, N.C., native tied for 20th during two events last fall, including a season-low score of +8 (224) at the Tar Heel Invitational. Saleeby also tied for 20th at the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic in Greensboro.
Playing as an individual at the 2010 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate during the spring, Saleeby finished runner-up with a 36-hole score of +1 (74-71=145).
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
