RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State has earned the right to host the 2012 Gymnastics Regional Championships, to be held in Reynolds Coliseum in April of 2012. This will be the third time the Wolfpack has hosted the Regional Championships, as in 2004 and 2009 NC State became the only school in the state of North Carolina to do so. A record crowd came to Reynolds both years, and made the event a success.
Each year there are six sites selected to host the NCAA Regional Championships. The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships. In addition, the event winners at the regional championships will advance to the national championships (in that event only) if they are not part of a qualifying team or an all-around qualifier.
