Hammond On To Match Play at Amatuer Pub Links

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - NC State women's golfer Hayley Hammond fired a second consecutive four-over-par 75 Tuesday during the second round of the 34th U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship at Notre Dame's Warren Golf Course.
A rising sophomore for the Wolfpack, Hammond finished tied for 46th after two rounds of stroke play and will now move to the match play portion of the championship.
Tuesday's second round saw her post birdies at Nos. 1 and 16.
She record birdies at Nos. 1, 17 and 18 during Monday's trek around the par-71 layout.
The low 64 competitors among the field of 155 qualified for match play beginning on Wednesday.
