Pack Finishes Fifth at Cavalier Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – The NC State men’s golf team finished in fifth place at this weekend’s Cavalier Classic. The Pack, playing with only four golfers, finished at 25-over (601) for the two-round event.
Host Virginia won the tournament, as they were the only team to finish under par for the two rounds at one-under (575).
Freshman Mitchell Sutton was the Pack’s top finisher, as he was 18th at six-over (150). Junior Matt Hill was close behind, as he shot a seven-over (151) for the two rounds. Senior Brad Revell and sophomore Mark McMillen both shot nine-over (153) for the weekend.
NC State also had two individuals competing. Senior Hertzog Landman was the highest Pack finisher among its golfers this weekend, as he finished in 12th place at four-over (148). Junior Brandon Detweiler finished in 18th place, as he was six-over (150) for the weekend.
