RALEIGH, N.C. – Junior Julie Saleeby of the NC State women's golf team has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District second-team. The Raleigh native carries a 4.0 grade-point-average in biological sciences-human body.
No stranger to academic awards, Saleeby has already earned All-American Scholar team honors by the National Golf Coaches Association each of her first two seasons, and has been on the All-ACC Academic team twice.
Saleeby ranked third on the Wolfpack squad this past 2009-10 season with a 77.90 scoring average. She posted a pair of 20th place finishes at the UNCG Starmount Fall Classic and the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship. She fired a season-low even-par 72 during the latter tournament.
To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District teams student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.
