Henry is Runner-Up at Georgia Tech Invite

Sophomore Lawanda Henry, the NC State record holder in the shot put, finished second in that event today at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta. Henry, who enters the last weekend of competition before NCAAs ranked sixth in the east region in the shot, threw a distance of 15.82 meters, or 51'11".
In other women's competition, Julia Kick finished 19th in the 1500 meters with a 4:33.59 clocking, while Lauren Doherty was ninth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:58.78.
Other members of the Wolfpack squad will compete at the North Carolina A&T Invitational on Sunday.
