McCain Runner Up at Penn Relays

Sophomore thrower Brittany McCain was the runner-up in the college division of the women's discus today at the 116th annual Penn Relay Carnival, one of the world's most prestigious track meets. The Monroe, N.C., native threw a distance of 47.58 meters, or 156'1".
Last week, McCain finished fourth in that event at the ACC Outdoor Championships. At the Penn Relays, she competed in a field of 26. She hurled that runner-up mark on her sixth and final attempt.
