Hill Leads at Hootie @ Bulls Bay; Pack in Fourth

AWENDAW, S.C. – After first round action at the Hootie @ Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C., junior Matt Hill holds the individual lead by one stroke and the Wolfpack sits in a tie for fourth place.
Hill shot a three-under (68) in first round action on Sunday, and holds a one stroke lead after the first 18 holes. Hill used five birdies on the day, and shot a three-under on the front-nine with no holes above par in his first nine holes of the round. Hill was one of just six of 75 golfers to have a round under par on Sunday.
Hill has had success in his previous two times playing in the Hootie @ Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, as Hill won the event as a freshman in 2008 and finished fifth last season.
As a team, the Pack is in a fourth place tie with Auburn, after NC State shot a seven-over (291) on Sunday. LSU holds the team lead, as the Tigers were four-over (288) in the first round.
Senior Brad Revell is also in the top-10, as Revell sits in ninth place at one-over (72). Revell had three birdies in his opening round, and was at even-par on the front-nine.
Senior Adam Hogue continues his strong play, as he shot a three-over (74) in the first round. Sophomore Mark McMillen was six-over (77) and freshman Mitchell Sutton was 11-over (82).
The second round will be played tomorrow, and the final round will take place on Tuesday.
