No. 26 W. Tennis Hosts Richmond

NC State Hosts Richmond: The No. 40 Wolfpack will play host to Richmond on Wednesday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m.
The Series Against Richmond: This match will be the 20th meeting between the two opponents. Richmond owns a 10-9 advantage in the series. The two met back in 2008 with the Wolfpack pulling out the 6-1 victory over the Spiders.
Pack Skyrockets Up Rankings: Going 3-0 the previous week the Wolfpack has moved up 14 spots in the latest ITA rankings to No. 26 in the country.
Spring Break Means Wins: Over spring break, NC State traveled down to Charleston, S.C. to take on three opponents over four days. The Pack opened the week with a 7-0 sweep over No. 67 College of Charleston. The following day, the Wolfpack beat its highest ranked opponent of the season with a 4-1 victory against No. 28 Princeton. The Pack closed out the week with a 5-2 win over Winthrop. The match had been postponed due to snow earlier in the year.
The Doubles Point Matters: In college tennis, winning the doubles point goes a long way toward winning the match. For NC State it is no different. The Wolfpack are 8-0 when the doubles point was won.
Wolfpack Moving Up Rankings: The Pack are steadily climbing the charts. In the latest ITA rankings, NC State is ranked No. 40. With a 3-1 start to the season, NC State entered the ITA team rankings at No. 64 on Feb. 18.
Seniors Approaching Records: Both Berkeley Brock and Daria Petrovic are rising up the record charts at NC State. Brock is in fourth place with 40 spring doubles wins. Petrovic’s 38 spring doubles wins stands at tied for fifth all-time. Brock’s 41 spring singles wins tied for sixth all-time and her .526 singles winning percentage is 10th.
