Gymnastics Hosts William & Mary on Senior Night

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State gymnastics will host longtime opponent William & Mary on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum. The meet will also serve as senior night for the team, with Taylor Seaman and Lauren Deuser being honored.
The Wolfpack (10-5, 6-2 EAGL) beat the Tribe in its first meeting this season, winning 192.825-to-190.375 in Williamsburg, Va. on March 4. NC State holds an all-time series advantage of 38-7.
The Pack has been hot on floor and vault the last two meets, scoring two of its top-3 scores of the season in the events over the last two meets.
The team leads EAGL in NCAA RQS and ranks in the top-3 in EAGL in each of the four events, and leads in bars and floor. The Pack is second on vault and third on beam.
Individually, sophomore Brooke Barr leads the team with 25 top-3 event finishes, and is second on the team with nine wins. She has scored a 9.9 on vault twice this season and once on floor. She also leads the team in RQS on vault and floor.
Senior Taylor Seaman is second on the team with 20 top-3 event finishes and leads the team with 10 event wins. She has the highest score on the team on the floor - a 9.925 against No. 5 Georgia - and has the second-highest score on the team in each of the other four events. Seaman also leads the team in NCAA RQS on bars and is second on floor and he all-around.
Other gymnasts in the top-5 at NC State in top-3 finishes are sophomore Jess Panza with 15 (three wins), freshman Rachel Fincham with nine (two wins) and junior Brittany Vontz with eight (five wins).
Fincham has the highest-bars score of the season for the team and ranks second in NCAA RQS.
Panza has the highest single score and NCAA RQS on the team in the all-around and balance beam.
Friday is also the final regular season meet for the Pack as it will next compete in the EAGL Championships on March 27th in Durham, N.H.
