Ted Brown's career accomplishments
- The ACC's all-time leading rusher with 4,602 yards, 32 years after his final game
- Only player in league history to earn four first-team All-ACC honors (1975-78)
- Owns the ACC and NC State record with 49 career rushing touchdowns
- Tied for second all-time in the ACC with 51 career touchdowns (49 rushing, 2 receiving)
- Played in three bowl games, rushing for 399 yards on 74 carries and catching nine passes for 84 yards, none of which are included in his career totals
- His 5,001 regular-season and post-season rushing yards ranks in the top 15 all-time among NCAA Division I running backs
- In addition to leading NC State in rushing four consecutive years, he also led the team in receiving three years in a row (1976-78)
- Still owns two of the top three rushing performances in NC State history, 227 against Clemson as a freshman in 1975 and 251 against Penn State as a senior in 1978
- Owns the two best rushing seasons in NC State history with 1,305 yards in 1978 and 1,251 in 1977
- With 312 career points, he is the ACC's all-time leading scorer among non-kickers
- Owns both the school and ACC record for most career 100-yard rushing games with 27 in his 42 games played
- Named the Most Valuable Offensive Player in the 1978 Tangerine Bowl after gaining 126 yards on 28 carries and scoring one touchdown in a 30-17 victory over heavily favored 16th-ranked Pittsburgh

- Tied for sixth in the 1978 Heisman Trophy balloting
- Selected the ACC's 50th anniversary football team (2003)
