Three Men's Soccer Players Earn ACC Honors

RALEIGH, N.C. - A trio of NC State men's soccer plaeyers have earned postseason honors from the ACC. Senior Tyler Lassiter was named second-team All-ACC, while freshman Sonny Mukungu was named to the all-freshmen team. Junior Craig Sutherland also received honors from the conference, as he was named to the ACC All-Tournament team.
Lassiter, from Wake Forest, N.C., currently leads the Pack in points (18), goals (6), and assists (6). Mukungu, from Durham, N.C., has started all 20 contests this season as a central defender.
Sutherland was recognized for his effort in the Pack's two games in the ACC Tournament. The junior forward finished with two assists, in a span of just 41 seconds, in the Pack's 6-3 win over Virginia Tech.
Before the ACC Tournament started, the Wolfpack sat at No. 44 in the RPI report. NC State came away with a 6-3 win over Virginia Tech, then fell to No. 3 North Carolina in the ACC quarterfinals.
