
Pack Concludes Round Two at Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - After two rounds of play at the Tar Heel Invitational, the NC State women's golf team sits in 18th place at 29-over par (302-303=605). In Saturday's second round, the Wolfpack shot a 15-over (303).
Freshman Ana Menendez had the Pack's top round of the day, firing a round of even-par (72) on Saturday. She holed a team-high three birdies, and went three-under on her final nine holes.
Freshman Brittany Marchand continues to lead the Pack overall, as she is at even-par (144) after two rounds. After shooting a 2-under in first round action on Friday, Marchand shot a 2-over (74) today. She was consistent on the day, shooting one-over on both the front and back nines.
Senior Brooke Baker matched her score from yesterday with a 4-over (76) in the second round on Saturday. She is now at 8-over (161) for the tournament.
Freshman Maureen Dunnagan shot a nine-over (81) for the round, and is at 17-over (161) through two rounds. Sophomore Amanda Baker is at 18-over (162) after two rounds as she shot a 9-over (81) on the day.
The star-studded field competing at UNC's Finley Golf Course this weekend features 16 of the 18 teams ranked in the top-44 nationally, including five of the top-10 teams.
No. 3 Alabama continues to hold the team lead, as the Crimson Tide go into the final round with a 15-shot lead at 25-under (277-274=551). Alabama's Brooke Pancake holds the individual lead, as she is two shots up at 10-under (134).
